Amazing Desert Modern House

My friends and I stayed here for 4 nights during a recent run of swell at Scorpion Bay. We absolutely loved this place. Extremely comfortable and decorated in a super cool and minimal way. Has everything you need for cooking, sleeping and chilling. Awesome book and magazine collection. House manages to stay cool in the desert heat even without AC. Well designed for passive cooling using ceiling fans and cross ventilation. It was a great feeling to be completely on solar power and we never ran out of energy. Incredible outdoor shower for rinsing off after a surf session with nothing but wide open desert views in front of you. I can't wait to come back.

Desert Bliss

This is a beautiful place to spend a vacation. The house is clean and spacious, with comfortable beds, a well appointed kitchen, plenty of room for lounging, and a forgiving cross breeze even in the hottest parts of the day. The book collection is a perfect mix of hip counter-culture fiction and surf travel writing, and the walls are sparsely decorated with lithograph prints, to offset the beautiful desert views from the floor to ceiling windows. We spent much of our time at the beach enjoying the surf, but frequently ate two meals at home each day, and were always happy to be there. My only recommendation would be to incorporate a larger table for eating, and fourth chair at the table, as the house amply accommodates four, but the dining table does not. What more can I say? We are already planning a return trip.
